• This is bar where I found my new love, Bloody Mary. Seen at Hotel Mediterraneo where me and my girlfriend stayed during our week in Rome. Whether we were going out, or coming home, we always stopped by for a Bloody Mary. No matter how late we were running for table reservations or god knows what, there was always time for a Bloody Mary. There was this very charismatic bartender in his fifties working at the bar every night, who made the best Bloody Marys on the face of this planet. After a few Bloody Marys each evening we started to work on a kidnapping operation to take him with us, so that we could have the best Bloody Marys everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  
  I've tried to replicate his Bloody Marys a few times, and even though they are not all that bad, mine don't even compare to his. Either he made the drinks with some top secret ingredient that not even James Bond knows about, or I just haven't found the right tomato juice. Because, when you think about it - tomatoes does not taste or even look like tomatoes here. These anabolic things they call tomatoes up here taste like water and are pale as Eskimos. Yuck.
