Apple and their Macbooks and iWhatevers are cool and all, but there is nothing more beautiful manufactured by man than the Technics 1210. Period. My first generation Macbook Pro makes me wanna puke, compared to their current ones. Their current one is going to make me wanna throw up too, compared to their future ones in just a couple of years. The Technics 1200/1210 MK2 (1200 is for silver, 1210 is for black) hit the market 31 years ago, and it has stayed like that ever since. Just gazing at them still brings a tear to my eye. No other manufacturer has even been close to replacing the 1210 MK2 as the industry standard DJ turntable, although some have tried. . However, they were taken out of production in February 2010 (although I believe Panasonic has yet to make an official statement about it). I've barely touched any of my three decks for almost four years now, since I went digital with my djing, but I still can't find it in my heart to get rid of any of them.
This is blog post number 300 by the way. I'll be accepting your gifts throughout the whole year.
