Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles

Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles
LARGE VERSION HERE (approx. 5 MB)

A near 180 degree panorama of Hollywood (look closely on the left hand side and you’ll see the Hollywood sign) and and Downtown Los Angeles (the sky scrapers waaay waaay back near the middle of the frame). There might be some other areas covered in the picture as well but I don’t know LA very well, we spent most of our 3 days there sitting on a bus and getting lost. That city is just tooo god damn big. It’s insane – don’t even think about going there if you don’t have somebody there to show you around or if you don’t have at least 10 days to spend. We stayed at the Biltmore Millenium Hotel downtown, and it took us almost two hours by bus down to the Santa Monica beach, unfortunately th subway only takes you to Hollywood. At least we learned that as a tourist, you shouldn’t stay in Downtown LA – the distance is just insanely big to everything, except the Staples Center where the Lakers, Clippers and the Kings play. We went to see the Lakers – Clippers last Friday, it was a blast :)

This panorama was stitched together out of 45 separate shots. They were shot from the Beverly Center terrace at Beverly Hills.

Also, again, sorry for the slow updates lately. I’ve been away from home since December 23rd, I just got back yesterday. The blog will be updated on a more regular basis from now on. However, I do have tons of great photos to post now from my trip to Istanbul, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Stay tuned :)
